Tragedy struck in the heart of Ojodu Berger, Lagos State, as an as-yet-unidentified man met his demise under enigmatic circumstances. The lifeless body of this anonymous individual was discovered in the early hours of Tuesday, October 31, at a local truck garage, sending shockwaves through the community.

According to an account provided by an eyewitness, Wahab, who was present at the scene, the body of the deceased man was spotted in an eerie posture. It was noted that the man’s identity remained a mystery, as he was found standing and leaning against the garage wall. The discovery took place as several truck drivers arrived at the location to collect their vehicles for the day’s duties.

Remarkably, there were no visible signs of physical violence or injury on the man’s body. He was only clothed in a pair of black shorts, adding to the enigmatic nature of the incident.

Wahab recounted the harrowing moment, saying, “When we arrived at the truck garage on Tuesday morning, around 8:30 am, we encountered a young man. He was dressed in worn black shorts, standing with his head resting on the garage wall, as if in a state of slumber. He had a disheveled appearance. An individual attempted to rouse him, assuming he was still asleep. However, when the man was touched, there was no response. Despite repeated attempts, he remained motionless.”

In a shocking turn of events, it was soon discovered that the man had passed away while standing, presenting an unsettling and perplexing scenario. Wahab added, “It was upon closer inspection that we realized the man had passed away. Astonishingly, he did not exhibit any outward signs of being deceased.”

The community swiftly responded to the grim discovery by reporting the incident to the Ojodu police station. Law enforcement promptly arrived at the scene, retrieved the deceased man’s body, and transferred it to the Mainland Hospital mortuary in Yaba for a thorough autopsy. Authorities are now actively engaged in the process of identifying the individual who met such a bizarre and untimely end.

Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, remarked, “The corpse was evacuated and deposited at the Mainland Hospital mortuary Yaba for an autopsy while efforts are made to identify who he was.” The circumstances surrounding this perplexing death remain shrouded in mystery, leaving the community and authorities searching for answers.
