In a significant development, a Chief Magistrates’ Court in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, has issued an order for the remand of a 40-year-old farmer, Zakaria Bulus, in a correctional centre. The charges against Bulus revolve around the alleged defilement of a 10-year-old girl within the state.According to reliable sources, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) is leading the charge against Bulus, who stands accused of the heinous crime of defilement. The presiding judge, Samson Kwasu, presided over the court proceedings and chose not to entertain Bulus’ plea at this stage.During the hearing, Judge Kwasu directed the prosecutor to submit the case file to the State Director of Public Prosecution for a legal opinion.
