Hajiya Halima Daja, the mother of Senator Ahmed Lawan, the President of the 9th Senate, passed away on Saturday night, October 14, in Gashua, Yobe State. She was 86 years old at the time of her demise, as confirmed by Dr. Ezrel Tabiowo, Senator Lawan’s media adviser.

According to a statement released by Dr. Tabiowo, the funeral arrangements for Hajiya Halima Ibrahim will follow Islamic customs, with her burial scheduled for Sunday in Gashua. Funeral prayers will be conducted at the Gashua Central Mosque, located within the Emir’s Palace.

Senator Ahmad Lawan expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support and condolences extended by friends, relatives, and colleagues during this difficult time.
