Kano State Government Dismisses Attempts to Stir Discord Between Governor Ganduje and President-elect Tinubu
The Kano State Government has responded to what it deems as malicious efforts by certain social media and online publications to amplify a story allegedly derived from a phone conversation between Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and Ibrahim Masari regarding the governor’s political alliance with President-elect Sen. Bola Tinubu. In a statement released on Sunday, Malam Muhammad Garba, the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, denounced the exaggerated publicity surrounding the supposed audio clip, attributing it to the actions of individuals who have been financially motivated to exploit the situation and sow discord between the two prominent political figures.Garba elucidated that there are indications of discontent among certain individuals who harbor resentment towards the enduring amicability shared between Tinubu, Ganduje, and Masari, and they are now seeking to capitalize on the situation for their personal gain. However, the governor and the president-elect have both recognized this malicious attempt to incite discord and are committed to maintaining their cordial relationship.Emphasizing the significance of their harmonious collaboration, particularly during this critical period, Garba cautioned against allowing self-centered individuals to jeopardize the commendable rapport between the two leaders. He further urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the general public to disregard such attempts, remain composed, and demonstrate unwavering loyalty to the party, thereby ensuring a successful inauguration for the president-elect.
