Lagos Police Apprehend Dispatch Rider and Accomplice for Motorcycle Theft
On Sunday, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest of two individuals accused of stealing a motorcycle belonging to a logistics company. The suspects were identified as 28-year-olds Sunday Ekele and Yakubu Abdurrahman. One other person who was with the suspects at the time of the arrest managed to escape and is currently being pursued by the authorities. Acting on credible intelligence, operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) arrested Ekele and Abdurrahman in the Oke-Koto area of Agege. The suspects attempted to flee upon sighting the police, but the two were caught, and the third suspect remains at large.Investigations have revealed that Ekele, who had worked for the company for only a month, conspired with Abdurrahman to sell the motorcycle, which was procured a few days before Ekele was employed. The stolen motorcycle has since been recovered.The suspects are presently facing prosecution at the Ogba Magistrate Court, Agege.
