Gombe State Police Nab Kidnapping Suspect and Apprehend Eight Others for Various Crimes
A 30-year-old man named Adamu Baje has been apprehended by the Police Command in Gombe State for allegedly engaging in kidnapping. The arrest was made in Gombe on Thursday, and the suspect was paraded by the Command’s spokesperson, ASP Mahid Muazu.
According to Muazu, the suspect was said to have kidnapped two people from Nafada town, specifically Fatsuma Buba and Manu Adamu. The incident was reported by Alhaji Adamu Bello of Labe village in Nafada LGA, who said that unknown individuals armed with guns and cutlasses had attacked his residence and kidnapped the two people in question.
The Command responded promptly to the distress call, and with the help of local hunters, the two victims were rescued unharmed. The operatives also discovered seven cows, four donkeys, 19 sheep, 10 goats, a Techno cellphone, a chain, and a padlock at the suspect’s hideout. The victims were taken to a hospital for medical attention.
